Open from May to September and only 19 km east of Terrace, this is a popular spot for locals and visitors. It is usually booked every week-end but does not take reservations, so get there early.

Amenities include pit toilets, water, a basketball hoop, wheelchair accessible, picnic/day-use area and allows pets on a leash.

A short hike up the hill will give you a wonderful view of Kleanza Canyon – keep young children and pets at hand, this is a dangerous section of the park.

Of historical significance, Kleanza means “gold” in the Gitxsan language and influenced the early history of the park site as it was the focus of gold seekers at the turn of the last century. There’s a trail that follows the creek where once there were placer mining works further up the valley. This park has 32 vehicle/tent sites.
