    Shames Mountain is one of BC’s best-kept snow secrets: a compact resort outside of Terrace that boasts snow dumps of 12 m (40 ft) – one of the deepest snow bases of any lift-accessible mountain in North America. Enjoy laid-back skiing on 102 ha (252 ac) serviced by three lifts.

    Half way between Terrace and Kitimat you will find the Onion Lake Ski Trails; easy-to-access totaling 25 km (15.5 mi). Bask in the beauty of the Coast Mountain Range as you slide along extensive groomed trails, stopping along the way to admire the picturesque views of the valley and lakes. End your day with a night ski on the five-km (three-mi) lit trail, then soak at nearby Mount Layton Hot Springs.
