Gitnadoix River Recreation Area
- a spectacular wilderness region located in the heart of the Kitimat Ranges of the Coast Mountains;
- managed by the BC Parks, it includes the Gitnadoix River, its tributaries, Alastair Lake @ the headwaters of the river
- it empties into the Skeena River from the south
- found about 60 km west of Terrace
- fly in or by boat only; no road access; boat launch at Exchamsiks is the best place to access the area by boat
- hiking, wilderness camping, wilderness viewing, excellent sport fishing
- Trumpeter Swans nest in the park (one of only 3 confirmed nesting sites in BC)
- No facilities in the park
