The mysterious and elegand Native Indian culture comes alive in The House of Sim-oi-Ghets, meaning "House of Chiefs". Owned and operated by the Kitsumkalum Band Council, the store was modeled after traditional longhouses. Highlighting the building is an impressive original west coast design by Freda Diesing. Two totem poles on site were also designed by Freda Diesing and carved by local Kitsumkalum members.
