Each week in the summer, a vacant lot in downtown Terrace comes alive with the excitement of the Skeena Valley Farmer’s Market – one of Terrace’s real gems. A place where the community comes together, the Market is a favorite meeting place and a weekly tradition for many people.

Held every Saturday from the first of May until the end of October (9am - 1pm), the Farmer’s Market is not only a great place to buy fresh, locally grown produce, but a forum that celebrates the talent of area artisans, cooks, farmers and musicians.

With more than 70 vendors, the market offers a cross-section of items including fresh baked goods, preserves, hand-crafted items, plants and flowers from area growers as well as hot food stands offering delicious ethnic fare.

And that’s not all – the market is always bustling with activity including live music, face painting and sometimes you’ll even spot a litter of cuddly kittens, bunnies or puppies. Throw horse-drawn buggy ridges into the mix and you can see why this is the largest farmer’s market north of Kamloops.
