WEEKLY FISHING REPORT dated September 13 – September 20, 2009

By the weekend most all river were blown out. Trying to find clean water to fish is a challenge now. Fishing the clean seams of the tributary creeks and rivers is a suggestion. For the time being, you may have to resort to fishing the lakes and ocean. This is “prime-time” on the main stem Skeena River to fish for Coho, and summer-run Steelhead but water is too dirty now. To learn more check past fishing reports http://www.noelgyger.ca/past-fishing-reports.htm. On the positive side, this high water should bring in lots of fresh fish and flush out most of those smelly dead spawned-out Pinks. The Kasiks River comes back into shape quickly after a heavy rain. The Kitimat River also seems to come back quickly. For all the fine details and photos on the Kitimat River, Coastal Rivers and Douglas Channel please check out the Ron Wakita report below. I also have a “video” and short text report from the Bulkley River this week from the Boise Boys. They report a good run of Steelhead is in the river now. Plus, I have a report of some excellent ocean fishing out of the port of Prince Rupert
